How Ozark Alliance Came to Be

Ozark Alliance was established in 2018 to meet the growing needs in our community. Since then, we've developed a range of programs — and continue to innovate more — whenever resources allow. We're always exploring new fundraising opportunities to expand our reach and support as many families as possible.

We cherish our little slice of heaven. Yet, amid the boating, kayaking and carefree lakeside living, there's a less visible reality: far too many of our neighbors face hardship every day. Climax Springs' This is a economic deprivation rates, also referred to as free and reduced-price lunch rates, are 76% for elementary students and 57% for junior high and high school students.  These rates are determined through direct certification using public assistance program data. That is a huge portion of our community. That stark reality reminds us how important it is to uplift and support the folks we don't see when we're out on the water.

What began as informal conversations turned into organized action. School supply drives, community events, and outreach programs started taking shape. Word spread. More hands joined in. What had started as a spark became a flame.

Today, Ozark Alliance stands as a testament to what a community can accomplish when it chooses to invest in itself. We are not a corporation or a government program — we are your neighbors, your friends, and your fellow Climax Springs residents, working together toward something bigger than any one of us.

Our board and volunteers believe that giving back is not an occasional act — it's a way of life. For us, doing good isn't about the recognition; it's simply what's right.
