Each year we provide every student in the Climax Springs school district all their school supplies and the opportunity for a free, back-to-school haircut by a professionals that lovingly donate their time & skills. It helps with the burden on parents and we’ve received phenomenal feedback from the school as each student has what they need already delivered to the school by Day 1.
Our school supply program has been *redrawn* several times and we have determined the best solution that also allows for the most efficiency and cost-effectiveness to the organization.
At the end of each school year, Climax Springs school provides us with a list of supply needs for the following year. The list varies slightly each year, with most items being consistent. We then take the list to Walmart which fulfills the list and we pick up and deliver to the school.
Any donations that are NOT time sensitive, we can collect and it lowers the number of items that must be purchased. Things such as glue, markers, etc we plan to just purchase as we would hate to receive a donation and they are dried out prior to the school year.
I have compiled a list of needs that we accept throughout the year to help us provide for the students and help lower our overall school supply cost.
This list is a living document and changes will be made as items come in and we reach storage capacity on items. Everything is appreciated, however, after years of experience, we have learned that this plan is the most beneficial for everyone!
